The first time I went to Santiago de Compostela I was 3 years old. I already lost track of how many times I went to this city. I am in love with Galiza and Santiago de Compostela. When I was younger, I dreamt I could live there. One day I went to Santiago to live there as an Erasmus experience. One thing I enjoyed doing while I was there was going to Praza do Obradoiro next to the cathedral to watch pilgrims arriving at the front façade of it. Their expressions are priceless, it’s overwhelming to watch. Then, I dreamt in doing the Camino to discover their feelings myself. Last year I did the Camino and another dream came true. So, I already went to Santiago as a child, an adolescent, a young adult. I went as a student and as a pilgrim. I lived there, I went there by car and on foot. I believe that by now you understand what I feel about this city.
It’s hard to tell all the reasons why I love this city. That’s why I wanted to show Santiago to my boyfriend. We went last weekend just to get a glimpse of it. I have several photos but I’m only going to show some.
I also found new things (Descobri coisas novas):
One of the good things Santiago has is second-hand shops. We found some treasures for ourselves (Uma das maravilhas que Santiago tem é as lojas de produtos em segunda mão. Encontrámos alguns tesouros):
Soon I’ll write about Museo das Peregrinacións! (Em breve um post sobre o Museo das Peregrinacións!)
